Historical Data Imports: Guidelines and Templates
Our Historical Data Import service makes it easy to backfill instances of AI Insurance. This service allows customers to quickly populate their AI Insurance system with historical data, eliminating the need to maintain records across multiple systems (e.g., before and after using AI Insurance).
How to backfill your AI Insurance instances
Follow these steps to quickly and easily populate your AI Insurance instance with historical data.
Step 1: Submit your data
Timeline: 1 week
Your Implementation Manager will provide you with a Submittal Confirmation document (which requires a signature) and a link to a shared Google Drive folder for uploading historical data. The submitted data does not need to follow a strict schema. However, some fields are required depending on the entities being imported. These entities and their required fields are documented below:

Step 2: Sign the Submittal Confirmation document and send it to your Implementation Manager.
Timeline: 1 week from submission.
We use Artificial Intelligence to process your data and reformat it for import compatibility. Once the process is complete, your Implementation Manager will provide you with a copy of the data for review, along with a confirmation document that requires your signature.
Step 3: Review data and sign-off on the Confirmation Document
Step 4: AI Insurance imports the data into your instance
Timeline: 3 weeks
Once we receive the signed confirmation document, AI Insurance will import your data into your instance within five business days. After the import is complete, you will receive a notification, an Acceptance Document to sign, and your login credentials for AI Insurance (if they haven’t already been provided).
Step 5: Review data in the AI Insurance platform and sign-off the Acceptance Document
Timeline: 1 week
Review and validation of your imported data
We expect our users to review their data after it has been imported. Since our customers know their data best, it’s crucial that they move forward with AI Insurance with complete confidence, knowing their data is fully and accurately integrated into the system.
To validate your data:
- Check each section of the app: Click through all sections to ensure completeness. This step will also help you familiarize yourself with our User Interface and gain additional insight into how the app functions.
- Use the Export feature: Compare the exported data with your historical submissions. AI Insurance offers powerful export options throughout the app, so take advantage of them to assess the completeness of your import.
- Contact your Implementation Manager: If you have any questions or encounter any issues, your Implementation Manager is here to ensure your success. They will thoroughly investigate and resolve any concerns you might have.
By taking these steps, you can be confident that your data is ready for use with AI Insurance.
